Description
Commemorative stamps produced for the 125th anniversary of the Geneva Convention, 1988-1989. Envelope has five stamps: 14p, 17p, 23p, 30p, 35p. Produced for the International Red Cross 125th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Convention in 1988-1989 and the centenary of Noble's Hospital, Isle of Man 1888-1988. The stamps show Red Cross Youth members, the signing of the First Geneva Convention in 1864, ambulance services and Henry Dunant. The envelope has been stamped in red ink with 'First Day of Issue, Douglas, Isle of Man, 16.10.1989'. Designed by A.D. Theobald. Insert inside envelope with further information.
