Description
Circular badge with a red enamel emblem on a white background. On top of this is the torso of a lady with a headdress in gold. Around the edge is 'Ealing War Dressings Association' in gold on blue enamel. Ealing War Dressings Fund was an organisation, mainly run by women, who made comforts for the troops, and, in 1919, for displaced persons in Europe. Voluntary subscriptions provided the necessary funding. Such endeavours were assisted and encouraged by the War Office and appreciated by the troops.
