Description
This is a poster produced by the Fundraising Division of the British Red Cross to advertise Fundraising Campaigns. Illustrated with 7 colour images, showing how fundraisers are trained, what they wear, and the information they need for face-to-face fundraising. This is one element of the Society’s fundraising and is very much part of the British Red Cross’s work.

In this example a poster might state: A few hours of time can raise enough cash to change people’s lives. For example:
● £5 could buy a food parcel in Mongolia
● £8 could buy three mosquito nets in Sierra Leone
● £10 could buy 30 foil blankets for people in crisis in the UK
● £20 could help buy emergency food supplies for a family of 4 during a crisis in the UK

There are British Red Cross collections all year round and our collectors are amazing - they give up their time to help raise money for people in crisis. For UK fundraising this is centred around Red Cross week when people are out in force collecting with buckets relating to an advertising campaign. When there are specific tragedies and disasters there are national and international campaigns, for example, Grenfell Tower Yemen.

I have included this poster as it is one of many illustrating this part of the British Red Cross’s work. Not only for domestic tragedies but also to help other Red Cross Societies around the world.
