Belonged to Eleanor Sharman, Welfare Officer with the Joint War Organisation between 1945-1946. Information taken from JWO Index. Mrs Eleanor Sharman (previously Miss Girdlestone) was originally from Worcester. She joined the Joint War Organisation in 14 May 1945 until 21 June 1946 and was a Welfare Officer at Syme Road Camp, Singapore until the reduction of the South East Asian Commission. She was Vice-President of Buckinghamshire and associated with Amersham Centre, and , subsequently, became Centre Organiser of Great Missenden Centre before retiring from active service with the Red Cross.
