Description
Union flag, along with a Red Cross flag, was displayed inside Bristol Cathedral until 2002. The flag was previously hung over the Headquarters of the 2nd Southern General Hospital, Bristol. The flags were displayed alongside a plaque which read as follows: The above Union Jack and Red Cross were flown over headquarters Southern General Hospital Territorial Bristol through which over 89,000 sick and wounded passed during the Great War 1914-1919.
