Description
Mending kit in case. Sterling silver, shield shaped mending kit with a double ball clasp fastening and a reflective Red Cross emblem on the front. Just below the emblem is the silver hallmark. Inside is lined in a deep pink, shot silk. On the inside front is a pocket which would have originally held cotton and needles but now holds a section of plaster. On the other side is a pair of scissors held in place by a loop of blue elastic. The scissors are brass with silver coloured tips to the cutting blades.
