Description
VAD cape with regimental badges and insignia sewn to lining. Belonged to Mrs Jessie Crewe who was a VAD from 1943-1947 in Leeds. She enrolled in 1943 as a member of West Riding Yorkshire 358. She undertook intensive training with the Civil Nursing Reserve at Pensions Hospital from 10 to 23 May 1942. She worked full-time with the Civil Nursing Reserve at Blood Transfusion Service in Leeds in 1943 and 1944. She was a nursing member in India in 1945 (until 1947).
