Description
Diorama on plinth with wooden cover, illustrating an occupational therapy room. Red Cross staff are helping people with basket weaving, rug making, a hand loom and sewing. One woman is weaving at a loom, one patient is basket weaving at a table, a man is making a toy, with a VAD standing beside him and another man is making a rug, while a member in VAD uniform hands him a ball of wool. Another staff member in outdoor uniform is on the telephone. A sign on the wall reads: 'The Red Cross Works for the Promotion of Health, Prevention of Disease, Mitigation of Suffering and Aids the Sick and Injured at all Times.' At the back of the room cupboards and shelving store material.
