Description
Wooden medicine chest containing tins with plaster of Paris, lint etc [many empty]. Drawer at the botton of the chest has compartments to enable medical equipment to be stored separately.

History
Medical chest belonged to Dr Winter, who was a private doctor practising in Chartham, Kent; South Farnborough, Hampshire; and Sheerness, Kent. In 1918 Dr Winter joined the Royal Army Medical Corp and served at the 20th General Hospital, B.E.F., where he died later that year. The cabinet once stood in the dispensary attached to Dr Winter's practice.
