Description
Envelope with Rhodesia stamp 1/6' featuring the Umniati Bridge. Addressed to Miss A Clutterbuck, Overseas Development Department, 9 Grosvenor Crecent. Also stamped 'stamp not valid' and an additional 3/6 was paid. A sticker fixed to the back of the envelope reads: Southern Rhodesian Stamps. The Government has announced that stamps issued in Rhodesia of the kind used on this postal packet have no legal basis. The packet is accordingly surcharged.
