Description
Deputy President badge belonging to Lady Eustace Percy, Deputy County Director of Northumberland Branch. Made by JR Gaunt, London. The Lady Stella Percy of Newcastle worked for the British Red Cross from 1933 until 1953 when she moved out of Newcastle. She was awarded the Voluntary Medical Services medal for her work from 1933-1948 and given one clasp in 1953. During the Second World War she was in charge of the Newcastle Division of the Red Cross. She was later Deputy Director of the Northumberland Branch, retiring in July 1952.
