Description
Set of League of Red Cross Societies posters: Humanity's Bridge - 'Through prison bars' illustrated with a black and white image. "A vital link with the outside world for thousands of civil prisoners in many countries is the Red Cross prison visitor. Caring for health and welfare problems of inmates, organizing vocational training and cultural activities, teaching first aid, health in the home and other Red Cross courses in jails, organizing blood donor drives - these are some of the many activities that a number of National Societies carry on in penitentiaries and other correctional institutions. Breaking the isolation of inmates from the community, the Red Cross prison visitor represents a pillar of HUMANITY'S BRIDGE"
