Black and white photograph showing a Nursing for the Family cartoon sketch in which a man is looking after his wife who is ill in bed. The British Red Cross scheme 'Nursing for the Family' was designed to help people cope when they had to look after sick, disabled or an older relative at home. The text from the Public Relations Department dating from 7 Sepember 1976 reads: 'How many men know how to cope with sickness in the family? Too few says the British Red Cross and it is now trying to attract men to its 'Nursing in the Family' instructional sessions. '
