Description
Reproduction food parcel of the type sent by the Joint War Organisation of the British Red Cross and Order of St John to British prisoners of war during the Second World War. Cardboard box featuring the emblems of the British Red Cross Society and the Order of St John with the words 'Prisoners' Parcels, British Red Cross & Order of St John War Organisation'. Part of a collection of items which were used at the POW Exhibitions which were held during the Second World War. Image is of similar parcel ref. H/PAR/2002/14
