Photograph showing casualties being transported on stretchers from a horse drawn ambulance into a wooden building 'Ambulance No 1' (possibly a casualty clearing station). The bearers wear military style uniforms with Red Cross brassards. The building and the ambulance have Red Cross flags flying. A guard with a rifle is standing by the entrance to the building.
