Description
Black and white photograph showing an operating theatre in Boulogne, France. Two Red Cross VAD nurses in indoor nursing uniform are tending to a patient on an operating table and an orderly is holding a bottle of blood. The photograph includes another medical attendant standing beside another patient whose arm is resting in a stainless steel container for disinfection. In the foreground there are numerous items of medical equipment including enamel bowls and in the background are several medicine bottles on shelves. Several names have been written at the bottom the photograph: "May, Antony, [LUC 7M7], BarmÚ, Perrire".
