Signed minutes of meetings from the one hundred and thirty-eighth meeting held on 27 July 1965 to the one hundred and forty-seventh meeting held on 18 December 1969.
Matters discussed included: appointments to the Executive Committee; National Headquarters accommodation in Grosvenor Crescent; amendments to the Royal Charters; and work in Nigeria.
The volume contains the agendas for the meetings and some papers presented to the Council including: awards of the certificate of honour class I; copies of the report of the Finance Sub-Committee included in the annual report and accounts; citation for the award of the Florence Nightingale medal to Miss E Hills-Young; financial report and accounts for the year ending 31 December 1968; and the draft text of a supplemental Royal Charter.
