As part of their Junior Red Cross activities students at Wethersfield American School prepared 100 Easter baskets and one easter egg tree for distribution to an Essex County Council nursery, a home for handicapped boys, and a golden age club. The project was planned with the assistance of the Director of the British Junior Red Cross, Essex County Branch. Seven students from Wethersfield traveled to Ardleigh and Great Bromley where, with the help of six British Junior Red Cross Cadets, they distributed the gifts.'
