Series consists of published annual reports for the years 1928-1931, 1941, 1947, 1953, 1965, 1967-1969, and 1971-1973; published combined annual reports and directories for the years 1974/75-1979/80 and 1981/82-1984/85; unpublished typescript reports for the years 1985 and 1989; and unpublished typescript directories for the years 1986, 1989 and 1993.
The reports dated 1947, 1953 and 1965 also contain the report of the St. John and Red Cross Joint County Committee.
Reports contain details of awards won, financial statements and accounts, President's forewords, and reports from the County Director which include summaries of the activities of Hertforshire Branch during the year concerned, focusing on membership, training, first aid and welfare and hospital services.
Directories contain contact details of branch and divisional / centre officers.
