Description
Black and white group photograph with the following paragraph issued by the Public Relations Department of the British Red Cross written on the reverse 'A consultant surgeon has been appointed Director of the Northumberland Branch of the British Red Cross Society. He is Mr R.D. Forsyth, TD., MB., BS., ChB., an ear, nose and throat specialist at the Walker Gate Hospital in Newcastle and formerly Red Cross Branch Medical Officer. Mr Forsyth qualified in Glasgow and has lived in Newcastle since 1935. He is married and has two grown-up children.'
