The earliest meeting of the branch for which minutes survive took place on 20 January 1922.
Denbighshire ceased to exist when the new County of Clywd was created under the Local Government Act 1972, which took effect on 1 January 1974 . However, Denbighshire was reconstituted in 1996 with alterations to its historical boundaries. In 2004 Denbighshire became part of the British Red Cross Wales Area in the Wales and Western Region.
