Some of the main events during 1957 were: providing relief to Hungarians; helping to resettle British nationals from Egypt; responding to the Asian flu epidemic; the formation of Branches of the British Red Cross in Aden and Dominica; and the formation of a Committee of the British Red Cross in the British Virgin Islands
