The financial report and statement of accounts was published separately in 1974.





Some of the main events during 1974 were: the completion of reorganising County Branches in line with local government reorganisation on the basis of centres; the setting up of a commission to make recommendations on the central structure of the British Red Cross; the fiftieth anniversary of the Junior Red Cross; providing assistance following the outbreak of conflict in Cyprus; the former Branch in Gambia being recognised as a National Society; responding in Honduras following Hurricane Fifi; and continuing to provide assistance in the drought affected Sahel and Ethiopia area.
