In Volume 2 each issue consists of an editorial, articles, news from British and overseas branches, a list of courses and conferences to be held at the Society's National Training Centre at Barnett Hill, and advertisements. Examples of articles include the Changing Pattern of Surgery, parts 1-3 (issues 1-3); How the British Red Cross Society helps Local Authorities & Hospitals (issue 4); World Red Cross Day (issue 5); Hospitals in our Times (issue 6); A Society is Born in Malaya (issue 7); Houseflies Can Kill (issue 8); The Problem of Old People (issue 9); Manhunting for the Red Cross (issue 10); Juniors Calling (issue 11); and The Birth of the Red Cross Idea (issue 12). In addition, in issues 5-12 there is a serial story called 'Swing That Lamp'; in issue 8 there is a 'Page for our Evergreens', giving knitting instructions for a jumper; in issue 9 there is a 'Design a Christmas Card' competition; and in issues 8 and 10 there is a book review.
