In Volume 4 each issue consists of an editorial, a News Review about British branches, articles, news about overseas branches, a 'Make and Aid: Provide and Aid' diagram with instructions, a list of courses and conferences to be held at the Society's National Training Centre at Barnett Hill, and advertisements.
Examples of articles include; Blue Scarf over the Border (about the Glasgow Treatment Centre) [issue 1], Red Cross Societies of the Commonwealth (issue 2), Why the Quota - What's It Wanted For? (issue 3), Focus on North Africa (issue 4), Mental Health is Everybody's Business (issue 5), Hong Kong Thanks to the Branches (issue 6), Disaster in Chile (issue 7), The Royal Life Saving Society (issue 8), A Family Affair (about a Red Cross Group formed in the East End) [issue 9], Science in Adversity (issue 10), International First Aid Study Centre (issue 11), and Artificial Respiration by the Use of Exhaled Air (issue 12). In addition to this, in issues 1 - 3 there is an 'Emergency Reception Unit' serial story, and in issue 2 there is an obituary of Countess Mountbatten of Burma.
