Description
Album contains watercolour paintings, sketches and embroidery, in addition to an enclosed picture postcard taken upon the opening of a hospital. Beatrice served as a member of the Voluntary Aid Detachment at the Red Cross Hospital, Cecil Road, Hale, Altrincham.

Beatrice Orrell volunteered as a nurse at the Red Cross hospital on Cecil Road in Hale, Altrincham from November 1914 for the duration of the War. She was attached to Cheshire/74 and served for 4645 hours. She was awarded the British Red Cross War Medal in recognition of her service.
