Description
The Lady McCorkell Award shield signed by the Chair of the British Red Cross in 2013. This award was introduced following the death of Lady McCorkell, in recognition of the work she undertook during her time as President of Northern Ireland Branch, particularly during the 1970s. The award may be granted to volunteers, staff or delegates who have shown through their work with the movement their ability to uphold the Fundamental Principles and beyond. Issued by the National Awards Panel.
