Description
Wooden collecting box featuring female VAD figure in uniform. Blue painted box with coin slot on the top and featuring wooden VAD figure (upper body) in indoor uniform gesturing towards coin slot and words 'Thank Yo[u]' in red below coin slot. The words 'British Red Cross Society' feature in red on the front of the box underneath a Red Cross emblem. The box is emptied via a wooden panel in the base. Paint has come away from the edges of the box and across the top, the figure has a crack across the neck and the paint on the nose is also chipped.
