Description
Black and white image depicting the makeshift ward. There is a row of hospital beds either side of the room while the two rows in the central area of the ward have been arranged back to back in an attempt to optimize space. Patients can be seen lying in beds and seated on beds wearing hospital uniform. V.A.D nurses and medical staff are visible in the background. The Recreation Room functioned as a ward from the 3rd to the 9th of July 1916.
