Description
Pin brooch made from Zeppelin sold in aid of British Red Cross Society. Brooch attached to card which reads: 'This is a genuine piece of Zeppelin Wire from the first zeppelin brought down at Cuffley, Essex, 3 September 1916. Given by H.M. War Office exclusively to the British Red Cross Society.'

History
A whole series of fundraising jewellery items were made using metal from this Zeppelin. Some packaging listed Cuffley as being in Essex and some in Hertforshire. The village is in the EN postcode area in 2019 which encompasses areas of Greater London, Herts and Essex.
