First aid kit in black canvas bag with 'Essex 86' and the Red Cross emblem on the front. Bag contains medical equipment including: wooden splints (tongue depressors), enamel kidney dishes, cotton wool, pairs of tweezers, pairs of scissors, cotton thread, bandages, thermometer, plastic eye patch, thumb straps, length of cotton cord and medicine tumbler.
