Description
This British Empire Medal was awarded to Gladys Morris, Assistant Commandant and Ambulance Officer of the Hereford branch of the British Red Cross. She also received a letter of congratulations from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
In 1946, Gladys Morris was also invited to Buckingham Palace to receive the British Red Cross Distinguished War Service certificate award, presented by Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother).
