Description
Diorama: 'Medical loans,' featuring a male member of staff in uniform sitting at a desk and three female VADs wearing nurses uniforms. One female member is pushing a girl in a wheelchair and there are two other female customers and one other girl. Shelving and a cupboard at the back of the scene holds items available to loan such as blankets, rugs and bed pans.

History
Medical equipment depots were established from 1919 onwards to lend surplus equipment that had been needed during the First World War. The service formed part of the extension of work carried out after the Supplemental Charter of 1919.
