Description
Shield cloth badge, B.A.O.R. (British Army of the Rhine), embroidered with two Crusader swords in gold 'in saltire' (crossed), points down, on a blue cross on a red shield. Current from September 1943. Worn on both arms of battle dress or service dress by all members of HQ Staff 21 Army Group and GHQ 2nd Echelon 21 Army Group. Presumably worn by Ann Hopkin whilst personal assistant to the Chief Welfare Officer during her time with the BAOR Command during 1947-1949.
