Description
Brown paper pattern for British Red Cross Flannel or Viyella pyjama suit (jacket and trousers). Presumably used for making pyjama suits for wounded servicemen in British Red Cross hospitals and homes during the First World War. This work may have been carried out in the Central Work Rooms (Royal Academy, Piccadilly) as the donor's mother worked there with her sister during the First World War. This pattern is for suit size 40 inch chest and 17 inch collar but there are instructions for increasing the size.
