Description
Small wooden shield presented in friendship to the British Red Cross by the Australian Red Cross Society, Tasmanian Division. Silver coloured plaques above and below the enameled Red Cross Emblem features the words 'A message of Friendship to the British Red Cross Society via the Tall Ship Young Endeavour' and 'Tasmanian Division'. On the rear is a hinged prop so that the shield can stand up.

STS Young Endeavour is an Australian tall ship. Built by Brooke Marine, Young Endeavour was given to Australia by the British government in 1988, as a gift to celebrate Australian Bicentenary.
