Description
Framed embroidery showing the flags of Britain, France, Belgium, Russia, Italy and the USA around the words 'Canada for Victory'. Made by Canadian soldiers convalescing during the First World War and given to Gladys Tayler who worked as a VAD at Hospital 222 in Mentone, France from September 1917 to July 1918. Subsequently framed by her brother (or donor's brother?).
