Description
Wooden shield: Cambridgeshire & Isle of Ely Branch First Aid (Individual) with a hand painted design featuring the emblem surrounded by the words 'The British Red Cross Society' and 'Inter Arma Caritas' (meaning Amidst Arms, Charity).
Winners are handwritten beneath: '1952 Mr Course C/57; 1954 Mrs Cole C/48; 1955 Mrs Cole C/48; 1956 Mr Course C/57; 1957 Mr Course C/57; 1959 Miss Street C/48; 1960 Miss Martin C/14' 1961 Miss Street C/48'.
On the reverse of the shield is a hand-written note in ink: 'MARR SHIELD, competition to no. team competitors only from Divisions other than Cambridge xxx'. Small metal hook at top for hanging.
