Uniform jacket belonging to Lady Irene Haig, later Baroness Astor of Hever. Jacket has button fastening, two pockets and a belted waist; as well as brown gorget patches and embroidered pip.

History
Lady Irene Haig was born on 7 October 1919 and served with the British Red Cross during the Second World War. On 4 October 1945, she married Gavin Astor, later the 2nd Baron Astor of Hever. Upon his father's death in 1971, her husband succeeded to the barony and Irene became the Baroness Astor of Hever (addressed as Lady Astor). Baroness Astor was President of the Kent Branch from 1976-1982 and County Branch Honorary Vice-President from 1987 until her death in 2001.
