Description
Kit bag with draw string to close, the name W.G. Huggett and number 2555 have been written in ink. Used by William Huggett to carry and store his personal belongings whilst working as a driver in France during the First World War. William Huggett was attached to SSA18 and No 4 Motor Ambulance Convoy, and was awarded the Croix de Guerre for evacuating the wounded on roads heavily bombarded during the battle of Verdun in 1917. He was demobbed in 1919.
