Description
Cards and crib board made in Changi jail. Long piece of wooden board with peg hole to one side used during the game of crib. Reverse shows hand carvings reading MARCH to the proper left, 1942 to the proper right and in the centre CHANGI. The box for the cards is made of a thick card, the front shows a hand drawn depiction trees by water with the sun setting, drawn with a green pencil. This drawing is on a separate piece of paper that has been adhered to the front surface of the box, the image has a green border. The image is also found printed on the reverse of the cards themselves which are in a plain card box inside the first box. A small piece of paper with scores written in pencil can be found in the interior box with the cards.
