Description
First aid kit in navy canvas haversack. Bag has a blue brassard with the Red Cross emblem attached to the strap. Bag contains: two plain cotton triangular bandages (stained); three boxes of sterilised large medicated wound dressings B.P.C.; one tube of savlon antiseptic cream in a box; one packet of surgery wool; one plastic blue cup; two unused rolls of bandages in blue paper packaging and one used (stained) roll; one pair of scissors with name tag 'M Hornby'; one small glass bottle of T.C.P; one small notepad in a brown plastic case and one small pencil; and an empty brown paper bag. Also included is a brown envelope with 'Miss Hornby' written on front containing a membership card for Miss Hornby of the New Forest Division. Card states that she 'is a member of an Emergency Team of the British Red Cross Society and should be given access to any incident at which the services of a member of the British Red Cross Society would be of assistance' and is signed by 'the County Director: Elizabeth Balfour, 4-3-55.'
