History
Founded in 1938 by Stella Isaacs, Marchioness of Reading; the Woman's Voluntary Service recruited women into the Air Raid Precautions (ARP) services to help in the event of War. Today, both men and woman are members and in 2013 it changed its name to Royal Voluntary Service in recognition of this.
