Description
Piece of ribbon from champagne bottle on occasion of the naming of the 'Monospar' air ambulance 'Florence Nightingale' 7 June 1936. This was the first air ambulance of British make specially constructed and fitted by General Aircraft Limited. It was publicly named 'Florence Nightingale' by Mrs Amy Mollison, at Hanworth, on Sunday 6th June. The machine was a Monospar S.T.25.
