Description
Food parcels were sent to prisoners of war during the Second World War through the Joint War Organisation of the British Red Cross and Order of St John. This information sheet revolves around the "feasts" with whch the POWs celebrated special events such as birthdays, christmas etc. The men had to be inovative when preparing meals from the limited articles contained in Red Cross food parcels.
