Description
Black and white photograph showing staff of the VAD Department at Devonshire House. The Duke of Devonshire lent the house for the duration of the war and the VAD department was one of many departments based there. This department was set up in 1915 and was responsible for supplying members of Voluntary Aid Detachments for hospital service at home and overseas.
