Description
Photograph showing Angela, Countess of Limerick plaque for the Disasters Relief Operations Room at the League of the Red Cross in Geneva, September 1972. The plaque consists of a photograph of Countess Limerick and text below which reads: 'This Disasters Relief Operations Room was equipped by the British Red Cross Society as a tribute to Angela Countess of Limerick, G.B.E., L.D. Chairman of the Standing Commission of the International Red Cross since 1965; Vice-Chairman of the Board of Govenors of the League of Red Cross Societies since 1957; Joined the British Red Cross Society in 1915; Vice-Chairman of its Executive Committee from 1946 to 1963 and a Vice-Chairman of the Council since 1953.
