this is an account of the voluntary aid work carried out by the branch from October 1915 to 31 December 1916. It consists of the minutes of the AGM, held 2 January 1917, covering the report of the Finance Committee, and of the County Director - including men's and women's detachments, hospitals, trained nurses and medical officers, the maintenance of patients, gifts, transport, x-ray work, massage, uniform and discipline. Also includes details of VA hospitals, including staff, capacity, admissions, discharges and deaths, and statement of accounts from 30 September 1915 to 31 December 1916.
The booklet is illustrated by copies of x-rays showing various injuries caused by bullets and shrapnel, to illustrate to the committee the improvements and usefulness of this technology.
