File contains seven black and white photographs showing the interior and exterior of the hostel. The hostel was opened on 26 Jun 1972 by Her Majesty's Lieutenant of the County of Cornwall Lieut Colonel Sir John Carew Pole to commemorate the centenary of the British Red Cross Society (1870-1970).
