Description
Message sent to British Red Cross Surrey Branch thanking them for the duties performed during the Festival of Britain. It includes a reprinted article from the British Red Cross Quarterly Review, October 1951 about the duties performed by the British Red Cross during the Festival of Britain with a reprinted article from the Times dated 19 October 1951 about some of the unusual first aid duties performed. A note is attached from the controller of the Home Department to the commandant of Surrey detachment 138 giving thanks for their work and wishing the detachment a merry Christmas.
